Sydney is a great place to visit with kids and was easy to get around by public transport.  On our very first day exploring Sydney, we went up the Sydney Tower, visited the Star Wars Exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum and explored the Darling Harbour.

Sydney Tower

A visit to the Sydney Tower is a great way to get a quick introduction to various areas in Sydney.  The tower is the tallest building in Sydney and its observation deck provided a 360-degree view of Sydney.

Powerhouse Museum

The Powerhouse Museum is a museum of applied Arts and Sciences.  Our trip there was mainly to see the Star Wars exhibition.   The museum was easy to get to via monorail from the Sydney Tower.

Darling Harbour

Kids who have watched Nemo the movie would have heard of Darling Harbour before.   Darling Harbour is located adjacent to the city and is a great place to stroll, and view the warship and submarine on display.  There were also many dining options around the harbour.  Darling Harbour can be easily reached by the monorail.
