Bungy Jump was not something that I had ever considered doing in my life …. well, not until I was in New Zealand standing on Kawarau Bridge looking down and watching other people do it.

Bungy Jump, New Zealand

Back in school, when I had to walk across the balance beam, I froze. My legs trembled, and I couldn’t even take one step forward.  I couldn’t even dive into the swimming pool from the podium.  When planning the trip to New Zealand, the thought of bungy jumping didn’t even cross my mind.

So what made me do it? Maybe it was my younger sis who wanted to try.  Maybe it was because the bridge looked sturdy, or the turquoise blue water below looked calm or the Bungy Jumping company looked experienced and professional, or I got braver after two childbirth without epidural.  To this day, I still don’t know.

While standing at the edge of the platform, with my legs tied together, I looked down. I was scared out of my wits. The water below seemed so far away.   My two kids, my mom and my hubby were watching me from a viewing area, and so were many other visitors.  What was I thinking?

After a long deep breadth, I just picked up the courage and just jumped. Below is a picture of me hanging upside down after the bungy jump.
